About Brickliners:
At Brickliners, we provide high-quality chimney, masonry, and fireplace services while educating homeowners on the importance of safety, maintenance, and long-term care. We are committed to professionalism, industry training, and certification, and we take pride in setting a high standard for service throughout our community. We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to help lead and grow our Windham, Maine location. This role will oversee day-to-day operations, support field and office teams, improve scheduling and workflow efficiency, and help deliver an outstanding customer experience as we continue to expand in southern Maine.
Work Environment & Field Expectations:
This is not solely an office-based management role. The Branch Ops Manager is expected to regularly support and engage with field operations, including visiting active job sites, interacting with technicians and crews, participating in operational problem-solving, and maintaining visibility within day-to-day field activities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in construction or skilled-trades environments and understands the pace, physical demands, and accountability required to support field teams effectively. Candidates should be comfortable navigating roofs, ladders, uneven terrain, outdoor working conditions, and active construction environments when needed.
Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Windham location, including field production, scheduling, customer experience, team leadership, operational efficiency, and revenue performance. This role works closely with ownership and department leaders to ensure crews are operating safely, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining a high standard of customer service. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in home services, construction, skilled trades, or field-service operations who can balance people leadership, operational accountability, and business growth.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily scheduling and coordination of field crews Support office operations and customer communication Help improve workflow efficiency and team accountability Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training team members Monitor job progress, customer satisfaction, and operational performance Work closely with ownership to support business growth and operational goals Ensure safe work practices and quality standards are maintained Help manage materials, equipment, and job-site logistics
Qualifications:
5+ years of leadership experience in operations, construction, home services, or skilled trades Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience managing teams in a fast-paced service environment Ability to prioritize, multitask, and drive accountability Experience with scheduling, CRM, dispatching, or field-service software preferred Experience improving operational processes and team performance preferred Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered Physical Requirements Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 80 pounds Ability to climb ladders and navigate active job sites when needed Ability to sit, stand, walk, and work both indoors and outdoors for extended periods
Compensation :
•Base salary plus performance incentives and opportunities for growth.
