Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
The position of Branch Support Specialist serves as the secondary person to do activities to take care of customers and branch needs. Primary responsibilities include handling customer interactions at the counter or over the phone, taking and placing orders in the system, maintaining the showroom and warehouse in a clean and orderly manner, receiving orders, restocking warehouse, picking orders, packing customers' orders for delivery, calling customer to coordinate order pickup or delivery, partnering with sales reps to support customer needs, and loading and unloading trucks.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Keeping the showroom and warehouse clean and organized Taking orders over the phone Placing orders in the system Calling customers to coordinate deliveries, customer pick-ups, and repairs Helping customers load and unload equipment. Picking, shipping, and receiving duties Performing janitorial duties as needed Notifying Operations Manager of product shortages and overstocks Operating a forklift Driving company trucks to make deliveries or pickup orders on an as needed basis Partnering with Outside Sales Reps to take care of customer needs Forwarding leads to Outside Sales Reps Prioritizing activities and functions to be completed within a given time period. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and/or other employees of the organization. Spanish speaking not required but is a plus.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.COMPUTER SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
