Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
The Breaking Plant Supervisor leads all operations in the Transfer Room and Breaking area, ensuring day-to-day production runs safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with food safety standards. This role is central to producing high-quality egg ingredients for further food manufacturing — and to building a team that takes pride in its work.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and direct breaking and transfer room employees, maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive environment. Oversee production workflow — including employee assignments and rotations — to consistently meet quality and quantity goals while keeping yield at peak standards. Train employees on SOPs and SSOPs; ensure ongoing adherence to all company procedures. Perform required quality checks throughout the day and address deviations promptly. Partner with the Breaking Plant Manager and Human Resources on employee relations matters; deliver constructive, timely performance feedback. Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. Assist with unloading eggs from trailers, moving product to storage, and de-palletizing as needed. Manage timekeeping responsibilities, including timecard approval and time-off requests, using company software. Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned.SKILLS & ABILITIES

High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated knowledge of safety management practices and OSHA requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and standard office equipment. Ability to perform effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude. Flexibility to occasionally work varied hours based on production needs. Knowledge of labor relations preferred. Familiarity withUSDA/FSIS
requirements and food safety programs preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role requires regular physical activity in a production environment.Candidates must be able to:
Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day. Frequently bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and perform fine manipulation tasks using hands, shoulders, back, and legs. Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 55 lbs. on a frequent basis. Make quick, coordinated movements to handle and move product or equipment. Visually interpret instructions, operate machinery, and inspect product. Climb ladders and stairs as needed. Work in varying temperatures and occasional high humidity. Wear required PPE for the full duration of the workday (see below). All physical requirements are consistent with ADA, FMLA, and applicable federal, state, and local standards.PPE REQUIREMENTS
Production areas: Safety glasses, hair/beard nets, and hearing protection.Sanitation activities:
