Job Description

We are Claybourne, one of the largest and fastest growing cannabis flower brands in California. Our team is known for being highly dedicated to our retail partners and consumers while going above and beyond with flower quality, flower consistency and innovative new product development. We are looking for an experienced Breeding Stock Supervisor to oversee our vegetative breeding material.

Full-time Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6:30am-3:30pm, overtime as required in support of business operations
Compensation :
$22.00/Hour- $25.00/
Hour Responsibilities:
Maintain Cultivar Library:
Keep different cultivars organized, properly tagged in metric; ensure no cultivars are lost and that mother stock stays healthy and is replaced regularly. Perform regular audits of all stored material.
Seed Germination:
Germinate seed for trials, perform sex tests, cull plants, backup genetics, and get all plants ready for flowering on a specific timeline.
Irrigation Oversight:
Ensure the efficient irrigation of plants in vegetative rooms. Support and implement
SOPs:
Develop methods, policies, objectives to advance their department, and ensure continuing operations to increase productivity and guarantee regulatory compliance.
Facility Maintenance:
Oversee the preparation and upkeep of facility rooms, including sanitization and maintenance protocols.
Transplant Coordination:
Manage the transplanting of plants within the facility, ensuring proper handling and care of all young plants.
Evaluate:
Works with management to evaluate crop performance, makes recommendations for ongoing improvements, and updates company best practices.
Assist:
Assist Western Way Flowering team in harvest and maintenance of trial material.
Additional Duties:
Communicate and be a point of contact for the facility/department to leadership. Additional duties outside of the primary job description as required by
Management Qualifications:
Leadership Experience:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within an agricultural or horticultural setting. Attention to
Detail:
Strong ability to produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliability:
A dependable, positive team leader who fosters a collaborative atmosphere.
Adaptability:
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards. Must be able to work a flexible schedule up to and including overtime or outside regular hours as required in best support of operations.
Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity and strength; comfortable with hands-on tasks. Ability to handle high heat and humidity on a regular basis. Must be able to lift, bend, squat, climb, and pass up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility for an entire shift.
Tool Proficiency:
Familiarity with hand tools and irrigation systems, with a willingness to train on new equipment.
METRC Use:
Will need to manage Western Way vegetative METRC tags and make sure plants are properly compliant. Perform regular METRC audits. Data platforms : Understanding of Dosatron Injectors, Aroya irrigation sensors, and HE Anderson Injectors and controls. Ability to use these systems to increase irrigation efficiency.
Communication Skills:
Proficient in both written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal skills.
