Brokers of Hope Director Full-time, exempt $55,000

May 1-12 with first contact May 13-15 The Brokers of Hope (BOH) Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the delivery, development, and expansion of services that support children and families across underserved communities. The BOH Director ensures high-quality, culturally responsive services; cultivates meaningful relationships with stakeholders; and builds a strong, mission-driven team to advance BOH's impact. This position further requires a balance of visionary leadership, direct program management, and a deep commitment to meeting the evolving needs of families through innovative and collaborative approaches. Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in social service-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience High standard of personal integrity and work ethic Ability to prioritize, adjust to various types of tasks, and work cooperatively with different types of personalities Thorough understanding of The Center and its advocacy division and an intimate knowledge of program-specific policies and procedures Ability to connect people and resources Knowledge and understanding of issues and dynamics faced and experienced by families in crisis Knowledge of available community resources Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing Commitment to The Center's core values and mission Duties & Responsibilities Operational Oversight Manage BOH's day-to-day operations, including supervising family advocates and the intake specialist Establish sound administrative practices, including but not limited to the development of culturally competent and non-discriminatory procedures Oversee Union Parish community partnerships and public events Attend Union Parish community collaboration and outreach meetings Assist family advocates and therapists in coordinating community resources for clients Provide statistical information to Center Board of Directors and funding sources, as requested Collaborate with individual community partners and manage staff involvement and interactions with supportive agencies Manage food pantry efficiently while upholding high standard of food safety Track, update, and pull reports from Credible per program requirements Maintain awareness and sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and integrate this into supervision of BOH staff, interaction within communities, and care of clients Assist with programmatic updates to funders Promote an office culture that aligns with The Center's core values and mission Provide regular leadership development to staff Help plan and host office events, including but not limited to staff appreciation Attend and actively engage in director development Attend various retreats and leadership summits Provide companywide trainings as needed Financial Development and Governance Work with Chief Advocacy Officer (CAO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to develop operating budgets Monitor program costs and maintain expenditures to stay within budget Review financial reports for funding sources Research funding sources and assist with writing funding proposals Participate in fundraising activities as appropriate Human Resources Responsibilities Interview, hire, train, coach, and retain BOH staff Work collaboratively with all program staff to accomplish the program's goals and mission Communicate at least weekly with CAO regarding program updates, changes, and strategic direction Facilitate individual and group supervision with BOH staff Conduct annual evaluations of BOH staff Review/Approve timecards of BOH staff each pay period Attend all necessary staff training and meetings Provide assistance and consultation with team members as needed and when requested Program Sustainability, Development, and Geographic Expansion a. Foster and promote new and existing partnerships with key stakeholders in the Union Parish service area c. Conduct community landscape assessments to identify service gaps, partnership opportunities, and readiness for program implementation d. Adapt and scale BOH program models to ensure cultural relevance while maintaining fidelity to core service standards e. Develop and maintain relationships with new community stakeholders to support successful program launch and long-term sustainability f. Support development of budgets, funding strategies, and resource allocation plans aligned with expansion efforts g. Monitor and evaluate expansion site performance, using data to inform continuous improvement and decision-making
