A top plumbing contractor with a growing presence is seeking a talented commercial Plumbing Estimator or Senior Estimator. Job Responsibilities for a Plumbing Estimator Analyze data to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Perform accurate plumbing quantity takeoffs (piping, fittings, valves, specialties, fixtures, insulation, supports, equipment connections, etc.) Review proposals to find the most cost-efficient way to complete projects for bidding. Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, construction superintendents, and engineers to discuss and formulate estimates. Review bid documents (drawings, specifications, addenda, scopes, and schedules) to understand project requirements and identify risks, conflicts, or missing information. Prepare proposals, finalize estimates for prospective projects. Site visits (as needed). Qualifications for a Plumbing Estimator 3 to 10+ years' experience as a Plumbing Estimator Experience with estimating software Ability to support design-assist, negotiated, and/or plan-and-spec bidding. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Must be able to complete advanced mathematical functions. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
