Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Budtender, where you will be the friendly face and knowledgeable guide for our valued customers. In this energetic role, you will assist customers in selecting the right products, educate them on usage and effects, and ensure a positive shopping experience. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help foster a welcoming environment while maintaining compliance with all regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the retail cannabis industry, promoting responsible consumption and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations based on individual needs. Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, highlighting their benefits and proper usage. Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are visually appealing and accessible. Assist with inventory management through stock checks, product replenishment, and accurate record-keeping. Uphold compliance with all legal regulations, including verifying customer IDs and monitoring age restrictions. Demonstrate strong communication skills and phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person. Support upselling efforts to maximize sales opportunities while providing honest and helpful advice. Participate in product demos and educational sessions to inform customers about new offerings or promotional events. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a welcoming environment for all visitors. Qualifications Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment, is highly desirable. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination skills. Bilingual abilities are beneficial for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math is essential. Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette are necessary for engaging with customers professionally. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management. Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos enhances your suitability for this role. Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn about their effects and benefits is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
