Budtender/Receptionist

Job description: Great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a brand new dispensary. Lots of opportunity for advancement! As a Budtender / Reception, you'll serve as the first welcoming face customers encounter and as a trusted resource for customers, helping them find the right products to meet their needs while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This is a customer-facing role that requires a mix of product knowledge, retail skills, and a love for connecting with people. It involves working in a fast paced environment and interacting with patients and customers in a positive and uplifting manner. This position requires weekend and/or afternoon availability. Responsibilities include:

• Greet customers, verify ID, and check them in using our customer management system.
• Provide welcoming, inclusive, and organized entry experience.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about store hours, products, ext.
• Listen to customer needs and make personalized product recommendations
• Explain cannabis strains, products, methods of consumption, and dosage guidelines
• Accurately process sales using a point-of-sale (POS) system
• Package and label products according to regulations
• Stay current on all product offerings, inventory changes, and promotions
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the sales floor or front desk.
• Adhere to all state and local cannabis laws and dispensary SOPs
• Work collaboratively with other team members and assist as needed in other areas Required qualifications:
• Must be 21 years old or older (required)
• High school diploma (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years experience in customer service (preferred)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system with accuracy
• Be a problem solver, a self-starter, and detail oriented
• Knowledge of cannabis and medical benefits or have a strong desire to learn
• Willingness to continue education related to medical cannabis and the laws and regulations impacting the industry
• Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations
• Basic mental math skills Pay based on ability and experience.
