Building and Grounds Maintenance -University Park Dot Foods Inc. 401(k) United States, Illinois, University Park 251 Central Avenue (Show on map) May 19, 2026 Description This position focuses primarily on maintaining the appearance of our facility. The work consists of mowing and trimming, care of planting beds and lot maintenance as well as painting. Other duties may include assisting our technicians with various duties and moving furniture/relocating office personnel.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Repairs and maintains physical structures using hand and power tools. Paints structures, performs masonry work, repairs plumbing fixtures and woodwork. Maintains the grounds including mowing, repairing roads and lots. Repairs, maintains and installs electrical conduit. Moves, installs and adjusts fixtures, motors and other electrical/mechanical equipment. Ensure all material handling equipment is maintained and repaired in an accurate manner in order to protect the safety and well-being of all employees utilizing it. Track repairs, labor time and parts/materials used for work order entry. Assist other technicians to troubleshoot and repair all warehouse and material handling equipment as necessary. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, lubrication and adjustments on all warehouse and material handling equipment on time with minimal disruption to production.

YOU MUST HAVE

High school diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience Must be 18 years of age or older to work in this position. Good physical condition and agility to access all areas of the facilities for installation and repair of equipment. Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to operate powered equipment safely.

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

Basic computer skills Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete tasks safely, efficiently and properly Ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment

ROLE SPECIFICS

Schedule:

Part-Time Schedule TBD Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to environments with very hot and cold temperatures, as well as varying heights Regular lifting and moving of objects up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of 75 pounds
