Job Description
Building Engineer 1st Shift | Premier Corporate & R D Campus Maintain and Power a World-Class Facility Join a global manufacturing leader as a Building Engineer supporting a 240,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters and R D campus . This is not a typical facilities role—you'll work with advanced building systems in a clean, professional environment that supports executives, engineers, and scientists. What You'll Do Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and lab support systems Operate and troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS), fire alarm, and security systems Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, drawings, and diagnostic tools Operate and maintain steam boiler systems (fire tube or water tube) in line with code and best practices Conduct and manage daily boiler water testing , ensuring proper chemical balance and system protection Collaborate with and oversee vendors and contractors , ensuring quality and timely completion Support facility upgrades, system improvements, and capital projects Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment across the campus Perform general building maintenance across mechanical and structural systems Respond to alarms, system issues, and emergencies as needed Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours system support What You Bring Valid MN Boilers License (2C, 2B, 1st Class, or Chief) — required Proven experience operating and maintaining steam boiler systems Ability to clearly explain and perform boiler water testing procedures 5+ years of commercial or institutional facilities experience Strong troubleshooting skills across HVAC, boilers, chillers, and building systems Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams Experience with BAS, fire protection systems, and security systems Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude Strong safety mindset and attention to detail Nice to

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
