Building Service Worker

PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS

Under general supervision, performs building cleaning and facilities maintenance work throughout the Church. Employees will receive on the job training. Employees are considered emergency personnel and are required to report to the building during inclement weather, assist with security protocols, and address safety concerns.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and practices of building maintenance. Must be willing to learn basic knowledge of emergency facility response procedures. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Sufficient physical strength to lift heavy objects and to perform manual labor with frequent climbing.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

(Overtime is permitted.) Employees are considered emergency personnel and are required to report to the building during inclement weather.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

High School or GED diploma preferred. About Mount Calvary Baptist Church Mt. Calvary Baptist Church was founded in 1902 as the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Park and given its present name in 1910. Subsequently in 1959, Mt. Calvary was incorporated as "Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Montgomery County, Maryland" and has been designated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization since 1987. Mount Calvary is located in Rockville, Maryland, within a historically neighborhood known as Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park has been designated by the State of Maryland as a historical site. Mt. Calvary's facilities include three buildings. Its present sanctuary was built in 1961. Two buildings have been annexed to it- the Houston G.
