Bulk & Bagged Product Delivery Driver & Retail Sales/Laborer (Split position)

Truck Driver/ Laborer Responsibilities:

• Operate late model Ford F-550, F-600 and equivelant dump trucks (No CDL required)
• Use wheel loaders/forklifts/skidsteers to load bulk and bagged products onto truck
• Unload bulk products by using conveyors, augers, chutes, or dumping (this is a physically demanding job
• not simply driving the truck)
• Unload bagged products by hand unloading, stacking, or dumping
• Products hauled include bulk & bagged coal, wood pellets, palletized stoves, and landscape materials (mulch, topsoil, stone, etc).
• Driver will load products in our yard or pickup from a supplier and will deliver to customer locations in the Finger Lakes and Western NY region.
• Help with store operations, both inside sales and outside loading vehicles, as needed. Will typically be working in/around the store more during the winter months.
• Assisting with unloading tractor trailer appliance deliveries, stripping salvage appliances for parts, etc,,as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be a skilled, experienced driver.

CDL is not required, but years of experience behind the wheel are. Must have experience with operating small dump trucks, and understand how to operate them safely (both in process of dumping/unloading and driving). We operate in very hilly areas with steep, winding roads as well as in tight areas up close to customers homes. Must be comfortable and capable of driving in these conditions.

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 100lbs. Must be able to load auger or conveyor on the truck a couple times a day. Normal repetitive lifting will just be bagged products (50#'s or less).
• Must have a clean, valid NYS drivers License. No DWI's. Must be at least 21yrs old. Subject to random drug/alcohol tests at any time operating under Federal Motor Carrier laws. Absolutely no drug use (including marijuana) as we operate our fleet under federal law, not state. If you are pulled over for any reason and drugs/alcohol are a factor, you will lose your license in NY for 1yr.
• Must be clean cut, customer friendly, and self motivated. Will be working on your own most of the time, and must be able to get deliveries completed within the expected timeframes. Work Schedule
