H Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with specialized knowledge in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, particularly in claims management. The successful candidate will act as a liaison among stakeholders to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organization and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
The Role Responsibilities:
Analyze and evaluate complex business processes related to P&C claims and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures. Work closely with claims adjusters, underwriting, actuarial, and IT teams to define and refine system specifications. Assist in the design and implementation of new or revised claims management systems to meet business objectives. Develop detailed business cases, process documentation, and workflow analysis. Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the adoption of new process changes and technologies. Support the claims department by creating and maintaining reports for tracking claims statuses, performance metrics, and KPIs. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for new systems or system enhancements, ensuring that they meet business requirements. Provide training and support to claims department staff on new processes, tools, and technologies. Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in P&C insurance claims and propose innovative solutions to business challenges.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and at least 3+ years of experience within the P&C insurance domain, with a strong focus on claims handling and processes. In-depth knowledge of claims management lifecycle, including registration, adjudication, and settlement. Experience with P&C insurance claims systems and platforms. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and work within a budget. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of SQL and experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
