PIPESTONE
is seeking a relationship-driven professional to help develop commercial agricultural projects while building strong, long-term partnerships with landowners. This role blends business development, crop consulting, and nutrient management —perfect for someone who thrives both in the field and in strategic conversations. What You'll Do Partner with prospective and existing landowners on commercial agricultural projects Support permitting for CAFO, water, and regulatory approvals for new and expanding sow farm projects Educate landowners on the long-term value of hog confinement nutrients Serve as the primary relationship manager from project development through ongoing operations Coordinate manure application logistics each spring and fall (fields, acres, applicators) Prepare and maintain nutrient management plans (NMPs) and compliance documentation Calculate manure application rates and communicate fertilizer value to growers Manage soil testing, fertility planning, and field history across multiple clients Provide best-practice guidance on manure handling, conservation, and sustainability Collaborate with internal project teams on land base assessments and mapping Deliver excellent customer service and clear communication across all partners What We're Looking For Degree in Agronomy, Crop & Soil Environmental Science, Ag Engineering, Animal Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Proven ability to build trust with farmers and landowners Knowledge of nutrient management, manure application, and environmental compliance (training provided as needed) Strong organizational skills and ability to manage seasonal logistics Proficiency with MS Office and comfort learning mapping/recordkeeping tools Work Environment Mix of office and field work with frequent landowner visits Seasonal intensity during spring and fall manure application Regional travel with ~2-3 overnights per month Physical Requirements Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and navigate farm/field environments Ability to drive to multiple sites and stand/sit for extended periods Why
