Job Description
DescriptionDo you pioneer? Do you enjoy breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of a quickly expanding customer base, focusing first on our customer and working backwards? Do you want to be part of a newly formed organization that is designing and launching new business models across the world? If so, the AMXL supply chain team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to create and execute the worldwide AMXL supply chain by working closely with our retail and operations partners across the globe in order to effectively manage volume flows and fullness for our fulfillment centers and delivery stations. The role requires heavy index on dive deep, bias for action, and ownership. The Business Intelligence Engineer will support the rapid growth of this initiative by developing business metrics, mining data to uncover consumer insights and business opportunity, and partnering with internal stakeholders to drive the business. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with proven experience delivering results. Key job responsibilities
Basic Qualifications
- Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple teams, gathering requirements and delivering complete solutions
- Conduct deep dive investigations into operations execution and business problems, identify opportunities, and lead or support implementation (role varies by opportunity).
- Analyze and visualize large scale geo-spatial logistics and transaction data to determine user behavior or delivery process problems, and output solid analysis report with recommendation.
- Serve as liaison between operations business teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current delivery performance, and ad hoc investigations into future improvements or innovations. This will require data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
- Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
- Maintain and develop data pipeline for NA region
- Automate and improve existing manual processes
- Create tools to help deep diving and investigations into operations execution and business problems
- Analyze and visualize large scale logistics and transaction data to determine user behavior or delivery process problems, and output solid analysis report with recommendation.
- Standardize processes and bring parity across regions and business teams.
- Partner with Data Engineering and Software Development Engineers to prioritize and define AMXL data and BI development needs.
- Work with in-house scientists, global supply chain, transportation and logistics teams to identify new BI capabilities and projects.
- Serve as liaison between North America and Europe teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration as well as standardizing processes across the globe to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement end to end reporting for the worldwide operational teams to highlight improvement opportunities.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
