Cape Cod Art Center is seeking engaged, thoughtful andmunity-minded individuals to join its Board of Directors and help shape the future of the arts on Cape Cod. Cape Cod Art Center The Cape Cod Art Center is a non-profit membership group that serves its members andmunity with a variety of fine art programs and events since its inception in 1948. Our mission is to promote the creation and appreciation of visual art by providing a supportive environment for education and exhibitions. Why Join the Board? Board members play a vital role in guiding theanization's growth, sustainability, and impact. This is an opportunity to contribute your perspective, leadership, and expertise in support of a mission-driven artsanization. Who We're Looking For We wee individuals with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences - whether your expertise is in business, finance, HR, operations, events, IT, fundraising, or the arts, we'd love to hear from you. What matters most is a dmitment to our mission and a willingness to contribute time, insight, and enthusiasm. We are especially interested in onboarding individuals who have strong business acumen and legal expertise is highly valued. Commitment Three-year term (up to three consecutive terms) Active participation in meetings andmittees (~8 hours/month)
Core Responsibilities Duty of Care:
Stay informed, ask questions, and make thoughtful decisions
Duty of Loyalty:
Act in theanization's best interest; avoid conflicts
Duty of Obedience:
Ensurepliance with laws, regulations, and bylaws Strategic & Operational Oversight Support and uphold mission, vision, and long-term goals Provide financial oversight (budgets, performance, controls) Support and evaluate leadership Contribute to policy development and review Governance & Collaboration Additional board positions include: Membership, Gallery, Events, Human Resources, Information Technology, Fundraising, Gift Shop Operations, and Members at Large. Attend and actively participate in meetings (~70% attendance) Serve onmittees such as: Exhibitions, Gift Shop, Fundraising, Capital Planning, Board Development Participate in board development; recruit and onboard new board members

Board Member Qualifications What You Bring Passion for supporting the arts and advancingmunity impact on Cape Cod Commitment to active board participation (meetings,mittees, events ~8 hrs/month) Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to long-termanizational goals Sound judgment, integrity, and accountability in governance responsibilities Collaborative mindset with strongmunication and relationship-building skills Valued Experience (not required) Background in business, finance, legal, HR, operations, IT, fundraising, events, or the arts Strong business acumen; legal expertise especially valued Previous board, nonprofit, or volunteer leadership experience How You'll Contribute Provide oversight on strategy, financial health, andanizational performance Support and evaluate leadership; contribute to policy and governance practices Participate inmittees (e.g., Exhibitions, Fundraising, Capital Planning, Board Development) Serve as an ambassador for theanization and support outreach and fundraising efforts What Sets You Apart Community-minded with a genuine interest in local arts and culture Willing to expertise, networks, and perspective Open to diverse viewpoints and collaborative decision-making
