Qualifications:

The Dance Complex Board of Directors plays an active role in shaping the future of theanization with governance, strategic input, and fundraising. This is a wonderful time to join the board as we are embarking on significant capital projects and investing in a resilient, sustainableanization. We are looking for individuals with a passion for performing arts, and we wee applicants of all backgrounds and abilities. At this time, we are primarily seeking candidates with expertise in at least one of the following fields: legal finance Fundraising urban planning ormunity development real estate architecture public sector or municipal agency What does the Board of Directors do? Our Directors are volunteers who guide the direction of The Dance Complex by providing governance and non-profit management. In addition to oversight of finances, human resources, ethics, and success, we provide direct support through fundraising, outreach, special projects, and participation onmittees. dancplex/about/meet-our-team/ What are the requirements for bing a director and how much time is involved? Your passion for the performing arts and desire to make an impact are a priority. Each board member is required to join at least onemittee. Attendance at all six board meetings per year and monthlymittee meetings (currently virtual or hybrid) is required. To support fundraising for theanization and demonstrate fundraising leadership, we ask that all board members give at a level significant for them and relative to their resources. Terms are three years, with the option to serve two consecutive terms.
