Areas of responsibility include ensuring the organization is true to its mission and vision, fundraising, event planning, and public relations. This is a W2 position, directly accountable to the Board of Trustees through the elected Board Chair. The Executive Director must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous, self-directed workplace. About the Paul Lammermeier Foundation Founded in 1995, the Paul Lammermeier Foundation helps children and youth in Lima, Peru reach their full potential by providing safe, family-centered homes grounded in the Jesuit values of education and service to others. In collaboration with Asociacion Casa Javier, PLF supports children and young adults who are experiencing homelessness or lack parental support by funding homes, meals, education, spiritual formation, and guidance. Today, PLF owns four homes serving more than 22 male and female residents ages 12-26. The Board of Trustees is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Planning Oversee organization's Strategic Plan, ensuring objectives and outcomes remain consistent with the mission and vision of the organization. In collaboration with Board members and staff, ensure that identified goals, objectives, and priorities are met and/or improving; report progress on initiatives quarterly to Board of Trustees. Develop, recommend, and monitor annual budget in collaboration with the Board Treasurer. Engage, energize, lead and direct volunteers, Board members, partners, and donors. Assist the Board Chair in planning the agenda and materials for quarterly Board meetings. Support, maintain, and develop a strong Board of Trustees and Board Committees. Partnership Engagement and Development Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Asociación Casa Javier (ACJ) leadership, board members, and staff, serving as a consistent point of contact between PLF and its Lima-based partner. Build, support, and maintain a network of professionals, organizations, and community members, both locally and internationally, who can support, strengthen, and sustain the work in Lima. Identify and pursue potential partner organizations whose mission, values, and capabilities align with PLF's long-term goals for program sustainability and growth Support and facilitate networking opportunities with relevant professionals, donors, and organizations in the United States and Peru. Meet (minimum) monthly with ACJ's Executive Director and at other times with ACJ Board and staff members. Monitor, review, and facilitate the monthly financial reimbursement process to provide funding to ACJ. Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines as ACJ organizational needs evolve. Request information from ACJ to best share our story: newsletter articles, pictures, statistics, etc. Fundraising Develop and lead year-round fundraising efforts to support the mission. Organize and implement the annual Fall Fundraising Campaign. Monitor the completion of PLF's capital campaign, Carrying on the Legacy| Building Brights Futures. Plan and implement strategic donor recognition and engagement opportunities. Follow-up with donors, prepare and submit grant applications/funding proposals as appropriate Collaborate with the Board to raise funds from the community. Maintain the donor database (Blackbaud's eTapestry). Cultivate and secure sponsorships for the Annual Dinner, stewarding sponsor relationships from initial outreach through post-event follow-up. Lead the vision, theme, and overall direction of the Annual Dinner, PLF's signature and largest fundraising event, providing strategic oversight and guidance to the planning committee and PLF Communications and Fundraising Coordinator. Management & Operations Supervise and support the part-time Communications and Development Coordinator, who focuses on event planning, communications, and gift processing. In collaboration with the Coordinator, develop and create biannual donor Newsletter for publication. Collaborate with contracted consultants (marketing specialist) and vendors for projects as needed. Manage day-to-day financial operations including bank account monitoring, transaction oversight, and payroll processing. Complete month-end financial reporting, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of income and expense summaries for Board review. Maintain and ensure that all organization accounts, licenses, and subscriptions remain active and working smoothly. Oversee PLF's communications and brand presence across digital, print, and external relations to ensure a consistent and compelling organizational voice. Qualifications & Requirements Passion for mission, transparency and high integrity Alignment with Jesuit ideals Ability to travel to Lima 2-4 times per year. Proficiency in Spanish desired (not required) Experience with a nonprofit organization preferred Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, and task facilitation Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail Ability to interface and engage with diverse volunteer and donor groups Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, donor database software (Blackbaud's eTapestry), creative design skills for communication platforms Fundraising/development experience preferred Compensation/Pay Period Part-time, W2 Employee Salary starting at $50,000 annually (paid monthly) based on a 20-30-hour work week and based on experience. Cell phone/internet reimbursement of $50 per month Hours & Work Environment Flexible and seasonal depending on time of year, averaging 20-30 hours per week Peak seasons: Annual Dinner (late winter), Fall Campaign & year-end giving season, possible quarterly travel to Lima Some evening and weekend event and meeting attendance is required, in person and virtually Response within 24-48 hours is expected Office Virtual office (should be located in Cincinnati, OH area) Office equipment (computer, printer, mobile smartphone) provided by applicant High speed internet access Online donor database software & Microsoft Office provided by PLF.
