Job Description

Description Opportunity Summary - Project / Change Management Support Manager The client is seeking a top‑tier Project / Change Management Support Manager to partner closely with the CIO and IT leadership team to strengthen how IT communicates, plans, and delivers strategic initiatives. This is a part‑time (30-32 hours/week), on‑site role based at their corporate office in Brentwood, TN, focused on driving clarity, structure, and execution across IT priorities during a period of organizational maturity and process optimization. This role is highly visible and impact‑driven, requiring an experienced professional who can operate with executive presence, work independently, and influence outcomes without formal authority. Key Areas of Focus IT Communications Strategy Design and execute an IT‑wide communications strategy in partnership with the CIO. Improve collaboration, transparency, and alignment between IT and business stakeholders. Create messaging, cadence, and artifacts that support change adoption and leadership initiatives. Common Work Process (CWP) Design Assess and redesign IT's end‑to‑end project intake and delivery process. Optimize workflows to support a more iterative, delivery‑focused model. Develop and support a rollout plan to ensure adoption across IT and business participants. Program & Project Leadership Provide program‑level oversight for CIO‑assigned strategic initiatives. Introduce enhanced governance, planning, progress tracking, and execution discipline. Ensure leadership has clear visibility into status, risks, and dependencies. Daily Responsibilities Partner directly with the CIO and senior IT leaders to shape strategy and execution. Perform hands‑on analysis, documentation, and coordination work (this role does the majority of the legwork). Facilitate discussions, working sessions, and alignment across stakeholders. Track progress across initiatives, identify risks, and drive follow‑through. Translate strategy into actionable plans and communications that enable adoption. Size, Scope & Impact Supports enterprise‑level IT initiatives owned by the CIO and direct reports. Influences how IT engages with the business, manages work intake, and delivers outcomes. Success in this role will materially improve IT effectiveness, stakeholder trust, and delivery predictability. This engagement has the potential to set long‑term foundations for IT operating maturity at the client. Portfolio Management Experience:
Help introduce lightweight governance, prioritization, and visibility across CIO‑level initiatives without adding unnecessary bureaucracy. Agile /
Iterative Delivery Models:
Apply pragmatic Agile or hybrid delivery concepts to modernize IT intake and execution while fitting the culture and maturity level.
Facilitation & Workshop Leadership:
Lead working sessions with IT leaders and business stakeholders to align on process design, roles, and responsibilities. Executive‑
Level Writing & Presentation Skills:
Create clear communications, artifacts, and updates for senior leadership and enterprise stakeholders. Required Education, Certifications, & Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Technology, or equivalent experience required. Formal certifications (PMP, Prosci, Agile, ITIL) preferred but not required if equivalent real‑world experience is demonstrated. 10+ years of experience in IT project, program, or change management roles supporting enterprise IT organizations. Demonstrated experience partnering directly with C‑level or VP‑level leaders, preferably a CIO or IT executive. Key Attributes of Success Executive presence and credibility when working directly with leadership. Highly self‑directed; able to perform the majority of analysis, documentation, and coordination independently. Comfortable operating with influence rather than authority in a complex organization. Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to prioritize in ambiguous environments. Pragmatic, outcome‑oriented mindset focused on improving how IT communicates, plans, and delivers. Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Brentwood, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $125.00 - $190.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
