Job Description

Organizational Change Management Lead (IT)Hybrid | Austin, TX | ContractThe IT OCM is responsible for shaping and executing communication and change management strategies that support the successful delivery of enterprise IT initiatives. This role serves as the central coordination point for IT communications, ensuring clear, consistent messaging and strong alignment across projects, operations, and leadership priorities.

This individual will partner closely with technical and business stakeholders to drive adoption, improve end-user readiness, and elevate how IT communicates across the broader organization.
What You'll Do:
Develop and execute organizational change management strategies, including stakeholder analysis and impact assessmentsBuild and maintain change roadmaps aligned with enterprise IT initiatives and delivery timelinesCreate and distribute communications related to system changes, outages, updates, and key initiativesManage IT communication channels such as newsletters, intranet content, and organizational announcementsPartner with project and program teams to align communication strategies with implementation milestonesEstablish strong stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor on communication planning and executionDefine and implement communication standards, frameworks, and governance processesTrack adoption and engagement metrics, continuously improving communication effectivenessCollaborate with IT leadership to enhance overall messaging and alignment across business unitsSupport training initiatives, including end-user training sessions and development of user documentation (job aids, guides, online help)Identify risks and mitigation strategies throughout the change lifecycle to ensure end-user readinessProvide clear reporting to both technical and non-technical audiences on progress, adoption, and outcomes
