Change Manager - Supplier Information Management System (SIMS)

12 Months (with possibility of extension) As we continue to modernize and strengthen our supplier ecosystem, we are launching a Supplier Information Management System (SIMS) to improve data accuracy, compliance, transparency, and efficiency across our global supply chain. We are seeking an experienced Change Manager (CW/PSP) to support the successful rollout and adoption of this program across multiple internal teams. Role Purpose The Change Manager will play a critical role in the successful launch and adoption of Starbucks' Supplier Information Management System (SIMS). This role will lead the development and execution of change management strategies, creation of training content, user training, and communications to support adoption across a diverse set of internal teams, stakeholders, and suppliers. The ideal candidate brings strong enterprise change management expertise, deep experience developing training and SOPs, and the ability to engage cross functional teams while keeping partner experience at the center of the change initiative. Key Responsibilities Change Strategy & Execution Develop and execute a comprehensive change management plan to support the SIM program launch, aligned with Starbucks' values and ways of working. Conduct a change impact analysis to anticipate change impacts on business processes, systems, and teams and proactively mitigate adoption risks.
Perform Readiness Assessments:
Evaluate the organization's culture, skills, and technology maturity to identify potential barriers to adoption. Partner with program leadership, Global Supply Chain product, Sourcing, Finance, and technology teams to align change activities with program milestones.
Stakeholder Mapping and Analysis:
Identify all impacted individuals and groups, mapping their level of influence and potential resistance. Build and maintain an integrated change, training, and communications schedule to support phased and enterprise wide rollout. Training & Enablement Lead the creation of role based training materials, including: Instructor led and virtual training decks E learning content and job aids Quick reference guides and FAQs Design and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new SIMS processes and workflows. Deliver live training sessions, workshops, and office hours for internal teams, key stakeholders and suppliers. Coordinate with learning and development partners to ensure training is accessible, scalable, and sustainable. Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Identify and engage key stakeholder groups impacted by the SIMS. Develop targeted change and communication materials to support awareness, understanding, and adoption. Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and teams navigating change. Capture user feedback and adoption insights to continuously improve the change approach.
Establish Feedback Loops:
Create channels (surveys, focus groups) to gather user input and address concerns, ensuring stakeholders feel heard.
Manage Resistance:
Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate resistance to the new process, acting as a mediator for concerns. Adoption, Measurement & Continuous Improvement Define adoption metrics and success criteria in partnership with program and business leaders. Monitor readiness, participation, and adoption post go live. Support post launch stabilization and reinforcement activities. Document lessons learned and best practices to inform future transformation initiatives. What We're Looking For (Skills & Experience) 5+ years of experience in change management, organizational change, or digital transformation roles. Proven experience supporting enterprise system implementations or large scale business transformations. Strong background in training development, facilitation, and documentation (SOPs, workflows, job aids). Demonstrated ability to lead change across multiple teams and functions. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast paced environments. Strong organizational and project management capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting supplier systems, master data, procurement, or supply chain programs. Familiarity with change management methodologies (Prosci/ADKAR, Agile Change, or similar). Experience working in matrixed, global organizations. Background in retail, food & beverage, or consumer goods environments. Leadership & Behavioral Expectations Lead with empathy and a people first mindset. Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and resilience during change. Foster trust, inclusion, and collaboration across teams. Take ownership and follow through on commitments.
