Job Description
This assignment is a 1-year non-reimbursable assignment. Office of the
Secretary Continuity Plans and Policy Specialist Series Requested:
0089; 0080, 0343Security Clearance:

No Only current, full-time federal employees are eligible. Resumes are reviewed every 30 days until selection/closing date. This is a Detail, not a Developmental Rotation. Supervisory approval form must be signed.Qualifications:
Qualifications required: Developing, coordinating, and reviewing continuity and/or emergency management-related policies and plans; Researching and interpreting continuity and/or emergency management-related policies and directives, and briefing internal and external to an organization. Experience in public policy and/or continuity is desired. Preparing for and participating in executive level exercises or supporting executive level response to real-world incidents; Ability to analyze information or complex operational challenges and providing recommendations to mitigate risk through plans and policy updates Providing oral and written briefings to senior leadership or key stakeholders on program status or operational readiness; Knowledge of planning process and essential records; Ability to develop reports in collaboration with Department of Homeland Security Components, and other partners as necessary; Above average skills in Microsoft products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
