This cabinet-level position provides an outstanding opportunity to help shape the future of an innovative, student-centered school district through strategic financial leadership, operational excellence, and collaborative decision-making. Working directly with the Superintendent, the Chief Business Officer serves as a key advisor to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees while overseeing the District's business services and operational departments. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, strong communicator, and collaborative leader who is committed to fiscal stewardship and organizational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Finance and Budget Development
- Purchasing and Contracts
- Facilities Planning and Construction
- Maintenance & Operations
- Transportation
- Nutrition Services
- Risk Management
- Lead long-range financial planning and budget development.
- Advise the Superintendent and Board of Trustees on fiscal, operational, and facilities matters.
- Support charter school oversight, including financial review and operational collaboration. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful California school business management experience.
- California school business certification (CASBO CBO Certification or equivalent) is desirable.
- Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
