Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Business Analyst I to support financial operations, system processes, and reporting activities. This role involves reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, supporting system implementations, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial processes. Key Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert for department systems, including system integration and implementation projects. Reconcile financial accounts and reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly. Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Manage accrual processes, journal entries, and debit/credit memos, including preparation, approval routing, and reconciliation of logs. Approve and release invoices in accordance with accounting procedures. Prepare and review vendor files and supporting documentation for payments. Communicate with vendors, including construction and professional service providers, as needed. Assist with contractor payment analysis and related financial processes. Collaborate with accounting teams and other departments on financial and bond-related matters. Ensure compliance with financial accounting standards, reporting requirements, and payment processes. Complete additional assignments as required to support financial operations. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline. Experience working with business enterprise or accounting systems. Experience analyzing historical financial trends and reporting results. Experience preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to manage work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and presentation skills across organizational levels. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to lead projects to successful completion. Preferred Qualifications Experience with bond programs. Experience with construction-related programs or projects. Experience with Costpoint and/or Proliance systems.
