Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (CA) Los Angeles, CA Job Details $156,561.60 - $235,976.00 a year 1 day ago Qualifications English Full Job Description JOB Develops, supports, and provides all technology necessary for Metro's staff engaged in providing enterprise-wide information management and applications strategy functions, while interfacing with all business units for the purpose of business/IT (Information Technology) strategy development, solution discovery, application service management, risk management, and relationship management to effectively and efficiently achieve the organizational objectives. This leadership position in Information Technology Services (ITS) will oversee the development of the ITS annual budget, oversee development and maintenance of technology policies, and lead cross functional teams to identify transit oriented technology solutions.Recruitment Timelines:

Oversees, manages and leverages the entire life cycle of IT investments in information management systems from defining and targeting the investment mix, to planning the portfolio structure and packaging, to communicating the portfolio plan and measuring resultsAdministers public and agency policy regarding enterprise information managementManages all information technology applications/software systems for Metro, including enterprise applications, electronic content management, geographic information systems, and business applicationsDevelops new and improves existing software systems across all platforms, including desktop, web, and mobilePlans, directs, and coordinates unit activities which develop, implement, administer, and maintain information management systems within the agencyPrioritizes work requests and IT resourcesIdentifies process improvementsReviews and ensures KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) have appropriate priorityServes as the business relationship linkage between business units and ITFocuses on strategic initiatives and plans, being proactive, anticipatory, and driving in nature, and providing significant value to business unitsEvaluates existing and emerging technology to define standards and introduce new and enhanced technology solutions; analyzes technical information to stay up to date on current technology advances and evaluate potential applicability to Metro's needsAssumes lead role in enabling business units to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology; facilitates the planning and execution of business changesDevelops enterprise content management strategy to enable efficient organization and management of documents, records, web content, and other digital media/information shared internally for workforce productivity improvement and knowledge management purposes, and externally with partners, suppliers, customers, and communities for improved business processes and performanceDirects the preparation of requests for proposals (RFPs) for various assigned projectsOversees the work of contractors and consultants in the study, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the information systems and related projectsSelects, assigns, and manages staff to ensure compliance with all hiring and promotion policies and procedures; responds to employee grievances and concerns; coaches and mentors employees; and prepares, reviews and approves performance evaluationsAdvises CITO (Chief Information Technology Officer) regarding technology training needsProcures necessary products and talentManages departments, including developing, monitoring and adhering to Metro's policies, procedures, and budget, and achieving unit goals and objectivesMay be required to perform other related job dutiesSUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
