Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will analyze complex datasets, develop insightful reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes. Your expertise in data visualization, database management, and analytics tools will empower stakeholders to make informed strategic choices. Responsibilities Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using tools such as SQL, R, Python, and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other BI tools to communicate key insights effectively. Collaborate with project teams following Agile methodologies to deliver timely analytics solutions aligned with project goals. Design and optimize databases using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and database design principles to support scalable data storage solutions. Conduct business analysis by gathering requirements, defining KPIs, and translating business needs into technical specifications. Support the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and maintenance of analytics solutions. Utilize scripting languages such as VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and Python for automation and data processing tasks. Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs related to linked data sources and ensure seamless integration across platforms. Qualifications Proven experience in business analysis combined with strong data analysis skills using SQL, R, Python, or similar tools. Proficiency in data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Solid understanding of database design principles and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases. Familiarity with ETL tools like Talend or similar for data extraction and transformation processes. Knowledge of Agile project management practices and SDLC methodologies for delivering analytics projects efficiently. Experience with analysis tools including Visio for process modeling and documentation is a plus. Strong analytical thinking combined with excellent communication skills to translate technical insights into actionable business strategies.
