Job Description

Job Description You will be accountable for translating commercial opportunities into clear business requirements and driving process change. This includes using experimentation to build the case for change and influencing senior leaders through structured analysis and financial reasoning. You will collaborate closely with business, product, data science, and engineering teams to ensure new product features align with defined business needs. This role does not own a product roadmap, feature backlog, or delivery team. This position sits at the intersection of commerce, data science, product, engineering, and business strategy, with a strong focus on decision quality, experimentation, and measurable commercial impact.
Responsibilities:
Lead complex business analysis for global, high-impact AI/ML initiatives across digital commerce, personalization, subscriptions, and publishing operations Translate complex commercial objectives into actionable business requirements with clear, measurable outcomes Partner with product, engineering, and data science teams to ensure business requirements are met and to support successful product development and delivery Influence senior stakeholders through structured problem framing, financial analysis, and data-informed recommendations Collaborate with data analytics teams to define, execute, and evaluate experiments focused on personalization, revenue growth, and operational efficiency Map end-to-end business processes and guide process improvement and automation efforts to drive operational efficiencies Mentor team members in AI/ML business analysis and product development methodologies, promote responsible data practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning What This Role Is Not Not a Product Manager role Not feature or roadmap ownership Not delivery or execution management Not a purely technical ML, data science or data analyst role We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis within digital commerce, subscriptions or retail businesses Bachelor's degree or equivalent Decompose vague business problems into structured analytical questions and clear business requirements Partner with product, engineering and data science teams to design and deliver commerce and tooling solutions Define decision logic before proposing solutions Challenge assumptions and build arguments using data and financial reasoning Map complex business process and direct teams through process improvement and automation initiatives Strong experience working alongside data science / machine learning teams, including: Defining requirements for AI / ML enabled solutions Evaluating model applicability and limitations Translating model outputs into business decisions Deep understanding of experimentation and measurement Commercial mindset with comfort discussing unit economics, marginal vs absolute lift, and ROI Executive-level communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly and credibly, backed by data-driven arguments Experience with personalization, next best action frameworks, or decision automation Familiarity with AI governance, ethics, and responsible data practices Experience operating in global, cross-functional environments
