We are currently searching for a Business Insights Analyst to join our Retail Analytics team in Santa Fe Springs. This position will partner closely with executive leadership, merchandising, buying, marketing, operations, and other groups within the organization to focus on supporting key business functions through reporting and analysis. Responsibilities:
The Business Insights Analyst will use data to analyze our business, develop insights, discover new opportunities, and deliver recommendations. Creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity will be keys to success. As a member of the analytics team, you will apply logic and critical thinking to address business and technical challenges while facilitating informed business decisions. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of business, mathematics, and spreadsheets (Excel). The preferred candidate will have a strong desire to work with data, perform analysis, create reporting, train business users, and work cross functionally in an increasingly data dependent organization. This is a high-profile position that supports teams across the organization including executive leadership. Accuracy and effective communication, both written and verbal, are critical. After the first three months the Business Insights Analyst will Be proficient in using SQL to extract data and perform analysis. Demonstrate an Excel skillset which includes using advanced functionality and formulas to organize, validate, and analyze data. Assume responsibility of building reports and visualizations in the business intelligence software (MicroStrategy). Possess the necessary knowledge to train and support users of the reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities Reporting:
developing new reports, charts, visualizations, and maintaining existing ones. This is done in close coordination with business users.
Analysis:
answering business questions, providing recommendations, and explaining results. This includes applying business knowledge to a subject and searching for new insights and opportunities.
Technical support:
provide training and support to users on the business intelligence software and other tools developed by the analytics team. Desired skills and experience Proficiency using common business software packages; programing experience is a plus. An understanding of business principles, finance, retail, and the grocery business. Strong math skills and comfortable working with numbers. Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal). Attention to detail, precision, and accuracy. Ability to prioritize projects with minimal supervision and a focus on impact. Capable of handling ambiguity and maintaining a high level of organization.

$62,823 - $80,170 per year
