Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Central & Power BI Systems Analyst to support and expand the effectiveness of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across a diversified manufacturing, distribution, and consumer products organization operating multiple legal entities. This role will work directly with the Accounting and Finance teams to optimize financial reporting, automate workflows, and expand analytics capabilities. While embedded within Accounting, the role will collaborate closely with the CTO and IT department to ensure Business Central architecture, integrations, and data strategy align with enterprise technology initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who combines advanced ERP expertise, accounting knowledge, and strong data analytics skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Beef processing operations Consignment sales Distribution Transportation and logistics Jerky and snack manufacturing Consumer packaged goods Restaurants and retail butcher shops E-commerce and online stores Business Central Administration & Optimization Design and implement financial reporting structures within Business Central Partner with Accounting leadership to translate financial requirements into system configuration Configure and optimize posting groups, workflows, and financial processes Build executive dashboards and operational views within Business Central Manage dimensions, location codes, and financial structures across multiple companies Support and expand Multi-Entity Management (MEM) capabilities Implement automated workflows and process improvements within BC Assist with Business Central implementation and rollout projects Manage security groups, permission sets, and user access to support segregation of duties Develop data exports and integrations with external systems Support API integrations and system connectivity Other duties as assigned. Analytics & Business Intelligence (Power BI) Design and develop Power BI dashboards and executive reports Create financial, operational, and manufacturing analytics Build data models connecting Business Central and other operational systems Deliver visualizations that improve decision making across finance and operations Produce data exports and structured datasets for analysis and reporting Standardize reporting frameworks across multiple entities Other duties as assigned. Finance & Operational Collaboration Work directly with Accounting and Finance teams to improve reporting and efficiency Train accounting staff on Business Central reporting tools and best practices Help define standard reporting models across the organization Support cross-functional teams including operations, manufacturing, logistics, and sales Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field 7-10+ years working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Experience supporting finance/accounting teams in ERP systems Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products environments strongly preferred Experience working with multi-company ERP environments Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, exempt position, in-person based in the office Solana Beach location. The standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, with a start time of 8:00 a.m. This role may require extended hours on a regular basis and occasional weekend work. Microsoft Certified:
Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate Additional Microsoft certifications are a plus.
