Sr. Business Analyst Location New Haven, CT (Local Candidates Preferred) Employment Type Contract-to-Hire (W2) Duration 6-12 Months Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support existing and future ETL environments while serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in data analysis, data mapping, business process improvement, requirements gathering, and data visualization. This role requires close collaboration with architecture, development, and business teams to design and implement solutions that align with organizational goals. Candidates should have a strong understanding of enterprise business processes, system integrations, and business intelligence environments. Required Experience 7-10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics Strong experience supporting ETL and data-driven environments Experience working within Finance and/or Insurance domains Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and Tableau (Mandatory) Core Responsibilities Evaluate business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and gather requirements for change initiatives. Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and stakeholder meetings to elicit business and functional requirements. Analyze business needs and document detailed requirements, priorities, and implementation timelines. Perform data analysis, data mapping, and data visualization activities. Create and maintain data mapping documentation and visualization artifacts. Develop business cases outlining benefits, risks, and implementation options. Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for development teams. Conduct gap analysis between business requirements and existing systems/applications. Collaborate with Architects and Developers to assess project impacts and estimate effort. Assist with business process redesign and enhancement initiatives. Review vendor product releases and determine impacts on current systems and processes. Document findings, recommendations, and requirement analysis results. Support production environments and participate in troubleshooting and resolution activities. Required Skills Mandatory
