Job Description:
Demonstrates proficiency or advanced functional knowledge of applicable Epic, third-party solutions and the Microsoft suite of products. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, capturing business and technical requirements. Assesses workflow processes, identifies gaps, defines necessary process changes, and develops future workflows related to new solutions or functionality. Other duties as assigned. Follows departmental standards for software configuration control, quality assurance, and version releases, providing documentation and training on system upgrades and new releases. Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies, initiates escalation procedures, and provides recommendations for resolution. Participates in multiple cross-functional projects, utilizing project planning and coordination methodologies, tools, and lean methodologies. Provides guidance and acts as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants. Actively participates in project, team, departmental, and other meetings, reporting status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and barriers to the manager. Develops test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, performs unit, system, and integration testing, and documents outcomes. Designs, builds, and configures within assigned system modules and supporting third-party applications, developing and maintaining system process documentation. Remains current on industry trends and vendor/application/system updates, ensuring software modifications/upgrades work according to system specifications. Provides on-call support in a 24/7 production systems environment, acting as the primary support contact for the application's end-users.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of completing classes [Required]
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products [Required]
- EMR application/implementation experience [Required]
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills [Required]
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills [Required]
- Work with minimal guidance [Required]
- Rapid learner [Required]
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within deadline constraints [Required]
- Intermediate knowledge of HL7 and API concepts and operating within an integrated healthcare applications environment [Required]
- Knowledge of clinical/business/technical workflow [Required]
Education:
- Associate [Required]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- Business, Information Science, or a healthcare related field
Work Experience:
- 1+ in communicating complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience and developing training materials and documenting workflow design [Required]
- 3+ in clinical, business or technical work [Preferred]
Additional Information:
- Must meet one of either preferred Education or Work Experience is Required
- Maintenance of current licensure or certification related to area of specialty (OT, OT, SLP, RN, RPH, RT, AART, AHIMA, HFMA, NAHAM, etc.
) [Required]
