Job Description

VP - Treasurer The Christian Wyatt group has been engaged by a long-time client of ours on a key Treasurer search for their community bank. Our firm specializes in the banking vertical specific to accounting, finance, audit and risk roles all over the United States. This Georgia based client is a high performing bank with a sixty plus year history in their community and are blessed with a remarkable, seasoned CFO. At their asset size, you wouldn't typically have a full-blown Treasurer, but with the trajectory of the bank and future succession planning this is a necessity. To be considered for this role, you must have recent banking expertise, the optimal candidate would ideally have a big bank/small bank combination relative to experience level. You need to understand the strategic, but can also be tactical, and have the ability to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. This is key. However, having the 'strategic' roadmap in your back pocket is key as well; you must be comfortable interfacing regularly with the Senior Leadership Team that is very savvy. You must know your stuff. You can develop your various business cases, take a position and defend it. Long-term, alternate senior/executive leadership roles will present themselves as you grow with the bank. Key skill sets are expertise with balance sheet management and IRR modeling. Funding, liquidity, capital planning, and exposure to the securities portfolio and helping the bank develop funding, investment, and pricing strategies. Having a humble, down-to-earth demeanor, yet with the polish to present at ALCO, to Senior Leaders, the Board, and being comfortable in that environment is key. These are all a big 'ask' for a sub $1B community bank, however, they have a remarkable team, are in highly desirable metro area with great schools, and the future for whomever gets this role is very bright. Inquire today in confidence.
