If so, our client is looking for a Business Analyst Manager to join their team! If you have a passion for helping small businesses thrive then this is the position for you! The Business Analyst Manager supports Business Ownership Initiative (BOI), a division of the Indy Chamber's Entrepreneur Services, by determining the risk of offering a loan and then comparing that risk against BOI stated parameters to decide whether it's acceptable. Compliance, products, underwriting, and portfolio management within responsibilities include systems and process improvement, quality, monitoring and improvement.Requirements:
Analyze the creditworthiness of business loan applications. The evaluation includes. Review and analysis of individual credit reports, bank statements, personal and business financial statements, personal and business tax returns, business plans, financial projections, pay stubs, and all other sources of income Oversee the loan application process including verifying Business Loan Coaches produce complete loan application packages in compliance to BOI Loan Procedures Oversee daily activity of loan portfolio management including the production of loan closing documents, closing loans, monitoring of loans and collection efforts, monthly loan payment processing, preparing monthly and annually required statements, accurately reporting payments received and reporting transactions to the Credit Bureau Alliance (CBA) Manages the loan underwriting process to ensure compliance and quality of risk rating criteria in accordance with industry best practices Prepares and maintains loan portfolio reports including loan fund balances, portfolio delinquency, industry and demographic reports, etc. Communicates with the finance department regularly to ensure accuracy of all loan fund activity and resolve any accounting issues and discrepancies Perform semi-annual or annual reviews for all direct reports and provide feedback as necessary Prepare detailed business financial and ratio analysis as needed Review and evaluate collateral and make the necessary conditions and recommendations to execute lien placement and loan agreements in accordance with policy Approve Loans in compliance with lending authority Recommend denials, approvals, or cancellations to the proper loan authority. Including write-ups of credit memorandums for internal or external committees or agency reviews Coordinate and participate in lending and underwriting staff training sessions Provide excellent customer service and support to BOI lending teams on the field Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and servicing special funds and lending programsPreferred Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree. MBA in finance preferred, business or equivalent advanced degree preferred.Experience:
4+ years of experience in lending, financial services, or economic development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing lending operations.Financial Acumen:
Strong understanding of loan products, portfolio management, risk assessment, and financial reporting.Innovation:
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and impact within lending or financial operationsMission Alignment:
Passion for supporting small businesses, economic development, and inclusive growth, with an understanding of the challenges faced by underserved entrepreneurs Preferred Competencies Effective written, verbal, presentation and listening communication skills.
