Job Description
CGS is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Joint Effects Division Lead for our MCTP team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the operations, strategy, and execution of the contract work force supporting the Joint Effects Division, focusing on the integration, coordination, and delivery of joint effects capabilities. This includes ensuring the division meets organizational objectives by leveraging innovative solutions, fostering collaboration, and delivering high-impact results across mission-critical initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead a diverse team of professionals, aligning multi-faceted efforts to achieve joint effects goals. As the division lead, you will act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, oversee the development of division plans and priorities, and ensure timely and efficient execution of projects. You will also cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, customers, and key partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Joint Effects Division, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the division's effectiveness in delivering joint effects capabilities across operations. Supervise and mentor a diverse team, fostering career growth, collaboration, and excellence in performance. Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of joint effects plans, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration both internally and externally. Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the division's strategic direction and ensure successful delivery of initiatives, projects, and programs. Represent the division in high-level discussions with stakeholders, partners, and external agencies to advance key initiatives and objectives. Drive continuous process improvement and promote innovative solutions leveraging emerging technologies and methodologies. Monitor and report on division performance metrics, ensuring adherence to all regulatory, operational, and organizational standards.Qualifications:
Leadership Experience:
Proven track record of leading and managing teams, preferably within a joint military, government, or defense-related environment.Technical Expertise:
Demonstrated understanding of joint effects, multi-domain operations, or similar joint capabilities (air, land, sea, space, cyber).Strategic Vision:
Ability to develop, communicate, and execute a clear strategic vision aligned with organizational objectives.Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.Decision-Making:
Sound judgment and the ability to make informed, strategic decisions in dynamic environments.Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in related fields, with a strong background in operations, strategic planning, or leading cross-functional teams.Military Education:
Intermediate Level Education (MEL4) graduateEducation:
Bachelor's Degree.Clearance:
Contractor shall have a current TS/SCI clearance for this position.Preferred Skills and Experience:
O-5 or O-6 command experience. Retired colonel (O-6) equivalent or above War College (MEL 1) graduate or equivalent. Master's Degree in a related field. Familiarity with DoD or military joint operations planning processes. Experience working with emerging technologies, such as AI, unmanned systems, or advanced analytics. Certification(s) in project/program management (e.g., PMP, PgMP).Working Conditions:
inside Government training facilities.Required Travel:
