With over 20 years of experience, our practices are conveniently located across multiple locations on the South Shore of Boston who are supported by a centralized corporate office. Position Summary We are seeking a Healthcare Revenue Analyst to support revenue performance, payer reimbursement analysis, and data-driven decision-making across our multi-site physician practice. This role focuses on analyzing healthcare revenue within a fee-for-service environment, including payer reimbursement trends, fee schedules, and claims payment accuracy. The ideal candidate has strong healthcare industry experience and understands how payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies impact real-world revenue performance. This position also plays a key role in developing dashboards, reporting and data analysis that supports operational and financial decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Revenue and Reimbursement Analysis (Primary Focus) Analyze healthcare revenue performance across all payers Evaluate payer reimbursement accuracy and identify underpayments, variances, and trands Review CPT-level reimbursement, fee schedules, and claims payment patterns Identify revenue leakage, denial trends, and reimbursement inefficiencies Compare contracted rates vs. actual payments received and flag discrepancies Support evaluation of payer performance across the organization Data Analysis and Reporting (Primary) Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor revenue cycle KPIs Analyze large healthcare datasets from billing, claims and revenue cycle systems Translate complex reimbursement and operational data into actionable insights Support leadership with recurring and ad hoc reporting requests Ensure accuracy and consistency of revenue-related data across systems Payer and Contract Support (Primary) Interpret payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies, including managed care agreements where applicable Assist in analyzing contract performance and payer reimbursement behavior Support preparation of data for payer discussions, audits, or contract review processes Finance and Accounting Support (Secondary) Provide occasional ad hoc support to the accounting function as needed Assist the Accounting Manager with basic accounting tasks Support validation of financial and revenue-related data to ensure consistency across reporting systems Participate and assist with audits and reporting Required Qualifications / Education Minimum of 3+ years of healthcare industry experience in revenue cycle, reimbursement analysis, or healthcare analytics Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business Administration or related field Direct experience working with payer reimbursement, fee schedules, or claims data is required Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations in a fee-for-service environment Experience analyzing healthcare payment data at the CPT or claim level Advance Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) Experience with healthcare billing systems - EPIC experience required Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools required Preferred Qualifications Experience in physician practice or hospital-based healthcare environment Exposure to managed care payer structures Understanding of CPT coding and reimbursement impact on payment What We Are Looking For A healthcare-native analyst who understands how reimbursement actually works in practice Strong analytical thinker who can connect payer behavior, contract terms, and payment outcomes Detail-oriented, with the ability to identify trends and anomalies in large datasets Comfortable working across revenue cycle, operations, and finance teams Note to Applicants Candidates with healthcare industry experience will be prioritized over non-healthcare finance or general data analytics experience.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
