Senior Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner
Tharros is seeking a Senior Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner for an upcoming program specializing in technical and analytical services that bolster USCYBERCOM's ability to counter cyber threats and carry out full spectrum cyber operations.
The Senior Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner supports high-priority mission initiatives for our customer by leading the development, coordination, and implementation of cyber strategy, operational policy, and enterprise-level planning efforts. This position serves as a senior advisor to government leadership on cyberspace operations, strategic initiatives, interagency coordination, and policy development impacting national security and Department of Defense cyber missions.
In this role, you will oversee complex planning efforts that align operational objectives with strategic guidance across the cyber domain. This role requires deep knowledge of cyber operations, DoD planning processes, national cyber strategy, joint operations, and interagency coordination within highly classified operational environments.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of cyber strategy, policy, and operational planning initiatives supporting USCYBERCOM
mission objectivesProvide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior military and government leadership on cyberspace operations, operational priorities, and emerging cyber threatsDevelop, review, and coordinate policy documents, strategic plans, CONOPS, directives, white papers, briefings, and decision support materialsSynchronize cyber planning activities across combatant commands, joint staff elements, intelligence community partners, and interagency stakeholdersEvaluate existing cyber policies, operational frameworks, and strategic guidance to identify gaps, risks, and areas for improvementSupport integration of cyberspace operations into broader joint military planning and national security strategiesFacilitate senior-level working groups, planning sessions, operational synchronization meetings, and strategic engagementsMonitor evolving cyber threats, geopolitical developments, and emerging technologies to inform policy and strategic recommendationsLead cross-functional teams supporting policy analysis, operational assessments, and strategic planning initiativesEnsure planning efforts align with DoD directives, national cyber strategy objectives, and operational mission requirementsBachelor's Degree10 years of increasing experience with planning process for major cyber campaigns; evaluation of plan effectiveness.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Extensive experience supporting cyber operations, strategic planning, policy development, or operational planning within the DoD, Intelligence Community, or Combatant Command environments Strong understanding of joint planning processes, cyberspace operations doctrine, and national cyber strategy frameworks Experience preparing and presenting executive-level briefings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale planning initiatives and coordinate across multiple organizations and stakeholders Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills Experience supporting classified operational environments and mission-focused cyber organizations preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams or similar workplace chat and videoconferencing tools. ANALYGENCE
