Job Description

The Bureau of Labor Statistics measures labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy to support public and private decision making. The position is located in the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Office of Administration.
Qualifications:
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent in scope and responsibility to at least the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the federal service. This experience may have been obtained in the public or private sector. Specialized experience is defined as meeting at least 3 of the following: Overseeing the operations and efficiency of a team by providing technical and/or administrative guidance Conducting workforce management activities, such as tracking and reporting milestones and key actions, assessing workforce management data to draw logical, fact-based conclusions, developing sound recommendations, and communicating plans and outcomes to agency leadership Overseeing the maintenance, enhancement, and development of applications, including ensuring information technology initiatives are integrated with existing processes and privacy and data standards are maintained Working collaboratively across multiple divisions or program areas as a liaison, managing customer expectations, and advocating for agency priorities Completing project management activities, including identification of user needs, process analysis, project scope setting, requirements analysis, testing, timeline setting and tracking, and user training
