Mainframe Business Analyst
Location:
Detroit, MI / Need Locals
Duration:
6+ Months Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field Significant experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar IT delivery role supporting enterprise business applications Experience working in mainframe-supported environments, including close collaboration with teams supporting technologies such as COBOL, Job Control Language (JCL), IBM Db2, IMS, batch processing, and file-based integrations Strong experience translating business needs into clear functional requirements and actionable delivery plans Experience supporting supply chain, warehousing, distribution, logistics, inventory, or aftermarket business processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess business impact, system dependencies, and operational risk Experience leading cross-functional discussions with business users, developers, testers, and support teams Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify technical topics for business audiences and clarify business needs for technical teams Experience supporting production operations, incident triage, testing, and change implementation in complex enterprise environments Demonstrated ability to lead work independently, manage ambiguity, and drive results across multiple priorities
