Charlotte, NC Pay Range:
$48/hr - $53/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Functional Analyst to join a high-visibility Gen AI project focused on summarization and chatbot functionalities. This project involves managing a large volume of documents from various lines of business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills and leadership qualities, capable of effective communication across different organizational levels. Responsibilities Define end-to-end business functional requirements to support the target business process within the organization Contribute to the software development lifecycle of products and services from inception to final implementation Collaborate closely with developers to define, build, and test solutions, often managing multiple projects or work-streams simultaneously Create and maintain business requirements (both functional and technical) in partnership with the business, ensuring sign-off Develop functional solutions, conduct functional specification document (FSD) walk-throughs, and obtain necessary approvals Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and identify product development opportunities Work with developers to ensure a correct understanding of requirements and oversee functional delivery end-to-end Define testing requirements in collaboration with the QA team Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements and project management resources Establish and operate within the governance structure for the program/project, managing and escalating issues and risks as needed Contribute to the design and development of the project-level roadmap, ensuring business benefits are realized in each phase Ensure projects are completed according to product specifications and are properly documented Work with data sourcing to validate data completeness from acquisition to report delivery Collaborate with stakeholders during user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure reports meet requirements and obtain sign-offs Required Skills Over 5 years of related IT experience At least 1 year of professional experience executing end-to-end Gen AI projects Ability to create/design effective prompts for large language models to query complex questions Familiarity with Gen AI tools and terminologies, with working knowledge of large language models, embedding models, and Vector DB Ability to build proof of concepts (POCs) using Python/Streamlit is a plus 10+ years of experience with at least 3+ years as a Business Analyst/Functional Analyst. Delivery-focused techno-functional role with working knowledge of Python and SQL Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and self-starter, with the ability to identify risks and issues and suggest improvements.
