Description:
The Business Officer serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for the comprehensive management of financial, administrative, and business functions within the department. This role ensures alignment of fiscal resources, operational systems, and human capital with institutional priorities, advancing a high-performing R1 environment centered on student success, operational excellence, and data-informed decision-making. This position directly supports the Division of Student Affairs' strategic priorities to foster student wellbeing and thriving; enhance student engagement, learning, and success; develop excellent educator-scholars; and strengthen divisional efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The Student Center serves as the principal site for student programming and offers office accommodations for the Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement, Student Activities, UPD Community Affairs, the University Event Center, Esports, along with Dining and Retail. In addition, it offers an array of services, conveniences and amenities for students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred:
At least 5 years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience, and 2 years of BANNER and People Admin and/or Personnel Action software application experience.
