This effort will focus heavily on data quality improvement, asset and inventory validation, maintenance process optimization, business process assessment, and migration readiness activities. This is not simply a software upgrade project. We are seeking a professional who understands the intersection of maintenance operations, reliability engineering, MRO inventory management, asset management, and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate has successfully supported organizations through EAM transformations and can help identify, cleanse, and organize critical maintenance and asset data prior to migration into a modern enterprise platform. Key ResponsibilitiesCurrent State Assessment Assess existing IBM Maximo 4i environment and related business processes. Review current maintenance workflows, work order management practices, and asset management procedures. Evaluate data quality across assets, equipment records, inventory, preventive maintenance programs, and maintenance history. Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement prior to migration. Data Governance & Migration Readiness Develop strategies for cleansing and validating asset, maintenance, and inventory data. Review and optimize asset hierarchies, equipment structures, and asset classifications. Support mapping of legacy data structures to IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS). Assist in establishing data governance standards and long-term asset management best practices. Identify duplicate, obsolete, incomplete, and inaccurate records. Maintenance & Reliability Process Improvement Evaluate preventive maintenance programs and maintenance planning practices. Review work order lifecycle management and maintenance execution processes. Analyze MRO inventory and warehouse management processes to improve data accuracy and asset traceability. Identify opportunities to improve reliability, asset performance, and maintenance effectiveness. Migration Planning & Deployment Support Support development of migration and implementation strategies. Assist with testing, validation, user acceptance activities, and deployment readiness planning. Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, reliability, supply chain, and IT stakeholders. Develop documentation and recommendations for future-state processes. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience supporting IBM Maximo or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems. Experience leading or supporting Maximo upgrades, migrations, implementations, or enterprise deployments. Strong understanding of maintenance operations, asset management, and reliability practices. Experience performing data cleansing, data mapping, and migration readiness assessments. Knowledge of work order management, preventive maintenance, asset hierarchies, and equipment master data. Experience working directly with operations, maintenance, engineering, and IT teams. Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS). Experience supporting legacy Maximo environments including Maximo 4i, 5.x, or 7.x. Experience within utility, power generation, metals, steel, mining, chemical processing, pulp and paper, or other asset-intensive industrial environments. IBM Maximo certifications are a plus. Experience with data integration, reporting, and enterprise system implementations is preferred. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor who understands that successful EAM migrations require more than simply moving data from one system to another. They possess a strong blend of maintenance operations, reliability engineering, MRO inventory management, data governance, and enterprise asset management expertise. They have worked in highly asset-intensive environments where equipment reliability, maintenance history, inventory accuracy, and asset data integrity directly impact operational performance.
