Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst - IT (Insurance Platforms) for a contract position with a Major Insurance Company located in Morristown, NJ. This is a long-term contract opportunity.
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering high quality insurance and accounting solutions. This role is for a seasoned analyst who thrives inplex, fast-paced environments, enjoys deep problem-solving, and wants to own oues. Working at the intersection of business strategy and technology, you will partner with stakeholders, developers, and global vendor teams to translateplex business needs into scalable, high-impact solutions.
Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end requirements definition process forplex, high visibility initiatives, ensuring clarity,pleteness, and alignment across business and technology teams
Partner closely with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and prioritize requirements based on value, risk, and strategic alignment
Translate business needs into clear, actionable artifacts including business requirements documents, process flows, test plans, and traceability matrices
Work side by side with development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle to clarify intent, guide solution design, and ensure alignment to requirements
Assess system and process impacts, ensuring solutions integrate effectively across platforms and support long term enterprise objectives
Lead and contribute to UAT and system testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect management, and root cause analysis
Use data analysis and regression review to evaluate solution readiness and identify risks early
Proactively identify dependencies, risks, and gaps, andmunicate clearly with leadership to support timely decision making
Collaborate with vendor partners in India, operating effectively within EST working hours to ensure seamless coordination and delivery
Continuously improve analysis practices by staying current on industry trends, tools, and best practices
End-to-end project management of IT projects in the M&A and infrastructure modernization domains, from planning and execution throughpletion
Requirements:
5 years of experience in IT business analysis, systems analysis, or product-focused roles, ideally within the insurance domain
Experience supporting one or more insurance lines such as Commercial P&C, Specialty, Professional Liability, Cyber, or Workers' Compensation
Strong experience working onplex, multi-stream initiatives with a high degree of independence
Proven ability to bridge business and technical teams through clear, effectivemunication
Experience with UAT, regression testing, defect management, and solution validation
Solid understanding of accounting concepts and reconciliation processes
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to identify cause-and-effect relationships using data
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Office tools
Bachelor's degree inputer science, information technology, business, or a related field
Desired skills:
5 years of project management experience managing projects from planning and execution throughpletion, preferably with experience in M&A integration and/or infrastructure modernization
Experience across multiple insurance product lines
Knowledge of relational databases andplex SQL queries
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, SharePoint, or similar platforms
