  • Your role and responsibilities
  • Translate UI federal and state policies into clear system requirements, user stories, decision tables, and rules engine logic.
  • Support UI system modernization initiatives, including legacy system transitions, payment engines, and integrations with external agencies.
  • Perform requirements elicitation, business process modeling (current and future state), gap analysis, and maintain traceability from policy through implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with USDOL reporting requirements, audit readiness, and regulatory deadlines within a structured governance framework.
  • Collaborate with project managers, scrum masters, and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
This Job can be Performed from anywhere in the US.
  • Required technical and professional expertise
  • 10+ years of experience in the UI domain, with a strong focus on ReEmployUSA or similar framework.
  • Deep understanding of the UI benefits lifecycle, including claims intake, eligibility determinations, adjudication, appeals, overpayments, fraud detection, and employer tax functions.
  • Proficiency in requirements elicitation, business process modeling, gap analysis, and maintaining traceability from policy through implementation.
  • Working knowledge of data validation, reconciliation, SQL querying, PII/security compliance, and support for SIT/UAT and defect management.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with USDOL reporting requirements, audit readiness, and regulatory deadlines within a structured governance framework.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to coordinate across state agencies, program SMEs, IT teams, vendors, and executive leadership.
