Job Description:
A private philanthropic initiative is seeking a Program Associate to join their growing team. This role sits in the NYC office. The salary range for this role is $75-85k base DOE. Core Responsibilities Research & Strategy Lead development of a centralized research platform and database Conduct in-depth research to inform grantmaking and impact investment strategies Track emerging trends, policies, and opportunities across climate-related sectors Build relationships with research teams, nonprofit partners, and peer funders Prepare strategic materials for internal and external stakeholders Support meetings through note-taking and follow-up communications Operations & Grantmaking Manage grants database and internal documentation systems Draft grant recommendations and related correspondence Track reporting, acknowledgements, and compliance documentation Support budgeting processes through data reconciliation and reporting Coordinate internal meetings, including agenda development and task tracking Assist with event planning and logistics Continuously improve internal systems and workflows Candidate Profile Strong strategic thinker with the ability to connect big-picture goals to execution Highly proactive; able to identify stakeholders and build alignment Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Naturally curious with a strong desire to learn and engage deeply Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving team environment Highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented Strong written and verbal communication skills
