Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Process Consultant - Release & Delivery Governance to help design and implement a functional enterprise release management framework that improves visibility, governance, and value realization from technology releases across the organization. The consultant will work closely with IT leadership, product managers, delivery teams, and functional stakeholders to establish standardized release planning processes, governance structures, and operating practices that align multiple functional teams to a unified release model. The engagement will initially focus on improving functional release management across SAP and related enterprise platforms, ensuring that releases are planned, prioritized, and communicated in a way that enables senior leadership to clearly understand the business value delivered by each release cycle. This role requires a senior consulting professional with strong enterprise process design experience, capable of facilitating cross-functional alignment, defining scalable governance models, and embedding sustainable operational discipline across technology delivery teams. While the primary focus will be Release Management process transformation, the role is intentionally designed to support broader CIO Advisory capabilities, enabling the consultant to contribute to additional initiatives across IT governance, operating model transformation, and service management improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Release Management Process Transformation o Assess current release management practices across SAP and related enterprise platforms o Define and implement an enterprise functional release management framework o Establish release planning cycles, governance processes, and release calendars o Improve visibility of release value and outcomes for senior leadership o Align multiple functional teams to a consistent release process o Define release prioritization and planning mechanisms o Cross-Functional Alignment & Governance o Facilitate workshops with IT leadership, product managers, and functional delivery teams o Resolve misalignment between functional teams delivering independent releases o Establish governance models that enable consistent release management across domains o Introduce structured release planning and coordination practices 2. Process Design & Consulting o Design technology-agnostic enterprise release processes o Integrate release management with: o Change management o DevOps practices o Product-centric delivery models o IT governance frameworks o Deve lop process documentation, playbooks, and operating procedures
Qualifications:
  • 13-16+ years of experience in IT consulting, ITSM transformation, or enterprise delivery governance
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise release management frameworks
  • Strong process consulting and transformation experience
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional alignment workshops
  • Experience working with senior technology leadership
  • Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments
  • Experience defining governance models and operating procedures for technology delivery
  • Ability to facilitate stakeholder workshops and process design sessions
  • Experience working in complex enterprise environments with integrated platforms
  • Strong documentation skills including development of: Process frameworks, Playbooks, Governance models and Operating procedures
  • Ability to work at both strategic advisory and hands-on execution levels
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills
Preferred:
  • Experience working in SAP-centric enterprise environments
  • Experience with product-based operating models
  • Experience in Life Sciences / Healthcare or regulated industries preferred
  • Knowledge of ITIL, DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD practices
  • Experience with enterprise delivery governance or IT operating model transformation
Salary Range:
$155,000 - $198,000 a year #LI-MG2
