Job Description:
MNHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter prepares students for business careers through leadership development, academic competitions, and community service. The chapter is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students at Marple Newtown and offers the students a multitude of activities as well as opportunities to socialize and make lasting friendships.

Experience:
Experience working with school age students and coordinating and managing events.
Skills:
Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work with students of all ability levels.
Education:
Valid PA teaching certificate. Preferably have a background in business, marketing, finance, or computer/information technology education.
Essential Functions:
A faculty advisor acts as a liaison between the school administration and the club/activity and/or honor society providing guidance to student leaders and members. Advisors work with student leaders and program staff to plan events, create opportunities for inclusion, and build lasting relationships. Advisors will coordinate and supervise all club-related events, competitions, conferences, and meetings. This includes travel outside of the school building and over night events. Advisors will prepare students for FBLA conferences/competitions by providing coaching, feedback, and instruction aligned to event rules, judging criteria, and competition standards. Advisors will coordinate and supervise student participation in local, regional, state-level and/or national FBLA conferences/competitions, including registration, logistics, transportation coordination, and adherence to district policies. Advisors oversee all aspects of the National Business Honor Society including recruiting, tracking, and retaining members. Advisors will oversee fundraising and manage chapter finances. Advisors will ensure students do not participate if they have not paid the activity fee. Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies. Other duties as assigned by Administration.
