Role Summary:
The Senior Business Systems & Data Analyst is a hands-on, cross-functional position responsible for optimizing core business systems and analytics at Harold Beck & Sons. Supporting the company's mission of delivering precise, reliable, American-made industrial actuators, this role partners with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Sales to translate business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions. Serving as a key technical and analytical partner, the role drives continuous improvement, improves data quality and system performance, and evaluates emerging technologies—including AI/ML—to advance digital transformation in a manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Business Systems Contribute directly to the ongoing effectiveness and optimization of core business systems, including Epicor Kinetic ERP, Salesforce CRM, and other supporting systems. Work directly with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Sales to understand requirements and translate them into structured and scalable solutions. Support and project manage system upgrades, new module implementations, and process standardization efforts. Proactively explore and pilot new system features, workflows, and enhancements to improve performance, usability, and business value. Data & Analytics Contribute directly to managing how data is sourced, transformed, and moved between systems—building queries, ETLs, and processes that support reliable analysis and reporting. Lead analytical efforts by collaborating with functional leaders to define requirements and transform business questions into actionable, data-driven solutions. Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing data, analysis, and system support. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for business decision-making, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for users across departments. Continuous Improvement Participate in continuous improvement initiatives through process mapping, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving activities. Explore and evaluate AI/ML use cases relevant to business and manufacturing operations. Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend practical applications.
Professional and Personal Requirements:
8+ years of experience in business systems, enterprise applications, data analytics, or a similar hybrid role. Hands-on experience with ERP systems in a discrete manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as BOMs, routings, WIP tracking, production scheduling, and engineering change control. Advanced experience building dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across multiple systems. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into system configurations, dashboards, and technical specifications. Experience working cross functionally with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Sales. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear business terms.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline required.
