Top Skills & Qualifications 1. Entry- to junior-level experience as a Business Systems Analyst, including gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements, as well as writing user stories and acceptance criteria. 2. Strong leadership potential with the ability to multitask, combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 3. Outstanding communication skills, with the confidence to be articulate, assertive, and effective when interacting with business stakeholders. Financial industry experience is a plus. Additional (Nice-to-Have) Skills Analytical aptitude demonstrated through case studies, references, or prior experience Technical aptitude with a strong desire to learn new tools and technologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proven leadership experience (e.g., leading projects, taking initiative) Strong business acumen and eagerness to develop domain knowledge Receptive to feedback with the ability to apply it effectively Ability to quickly apply newly learned tools and skills Highly motivated, driven, and interested in building a career in IT Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to propose and collaborate on solutions Experience with Microsoft Office tools and working in a professional environment Relevant degrees (Computer Science, MIS, Business Management, Business Administration, Communications) are preferred Job Description The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will support retail technology initiatives, particularly within user experience (UX), digital channels, and delivery teams. This role involves working across a variety of customer-facing applications and digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements Write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria Manage and prioritize backlog items Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to team deliverables Support projects related to e-commerce and customer-facing digital experiences Work on features involving financial calculations such as fees, rates, and lending products Ensure clear and effective documentation of requirements and processesDay-to-Day Activities:
Writing user stories tailored to customer-facing features Engaging with stakeholders early in the day to align on priorities and requirements Performing deep analysis of applications and business needs Working independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams Supporting delivery of solutions that directly impact end users Additional Qualifications Excellent presentation, documentation, and communication skills Ability to be assertive, organized, and detail-oriented Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $24.04/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
