Successful outcomes start and finish with eNGINE . eNGINE is seeking a pragmatic, detail-oriented Business Analyst to support a large-scale documentation and process analysis initiative. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, personable, and resilient—comfortable working closely with operational teams and translating complex, mainframe-driven processes into clear, structured documentation. This is a highly hands-on role focused on understanding current-state processes ("as-is") and helping define future-state ("to-be") improvements, with a strong emphasis on documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner directly with plant operators and business users onsite to understand day-to-day workflows and system interactions Document how data and processes flow from legacy mainframe systems into downstream outputs Develop clear, detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency Support definition of future-state processes and solution impacts Collaborate with offshore (India-based) team members supporting documentation efforts Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate findings Synthesize complex information into structured, actionable documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst with strong emphasis on requirements gathering and documentation Advanced experience writing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications Ability to work independently and become a subject matter expert in a legacy environment Strong interpersonal skills - able to build trust with plant operators and business stakeholders Sharp, analytical thinker who can quickly understand complex processes Comfortable working onsite in a plant environment on a regular basis Resilient, adaptable personality with a practical, team-oriented mindset ("thick skin" and low ego)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with or documenting mainframe-based systems Exposure to process improvement or business process design Familiarity with change management practices Experience collaborating with offshore teams Interest in emerging technologies and AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) and their potential application to documentation or future-state design
