Business Analyst / Accountant Community Compounding Pharmacy Lake Oswego, OR Job Details Contract $45 - $60 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Financial statement preparation Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Organizational skills Time management Full Job Description About the Company Community Compounding Pharmacy (CCP) is a compounding pharmacy, which is a pharmacy that custom makes medication to fit patients' specific needs. We are a retail pharmacy that specializes in naturopathic and integrative compounded medications. CCP is one of the largest compounding pharmacies in the Northwest. We ship not only to patients in Oregon, but we regularly fill and ship compounded prescriptions to patients across the U.S. In addition to being a large retail pharmacy, CCP is developing and expanding to include other services, education, and conferences to assist other small pharmacies. CCP is a growing and evolving company. As leaders in the compounding industry, we constantly create new and innovative ways to help our staff, our patients, and our community. We operate on the principle of providing an employee-centered work environment that empowers individuals to have a voice in organizational operations and procedures. Our goal is to maintain a positive work environment and create the best products for our patients. Position Overview The Business Analyst/Accountant protects company assets by establishing, monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal controls; prepares budgets based on projected revenues and available resources; and works closely with department heads and the President to determine future needs of their departments and the Company. Primary Responsibilities The essential functions of the Business Analyst/Accountant include, but are not limited to: Collect, compile, analyze and summarize relevant company financial data. Provide timely reports on the Company's financial condition. Prepare, review and analyze monthly financial statements. Make recommendations to leadership on ways to improve processes or financial results. Prepare and present financial projections. Perform hands on accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement reporting, and cash monitoring. Implement and maintain accounting and reporting policies and procedures. Protect assets by establishing, monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Prepare budgets by working with leadership to determine future needs. Review cost and expense accounts. Advise company leadership on compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements related to financial information. HIPAA Requirements:
The Business Analyst/Accountant may be exposed to PHI in the course of their duties and must handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and subsequent related laws and CCP policies. Applying the minimum necessary standard of HIPAA, the designated record sets to which this employee may have access include: PHI via the electronic business systems used by CCP. All employees are required to read the content of these records only to the extent needed to accomplish the assigned task. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business analytics or similar related field. 5 + years of financial accounting and/or business analytics experience. Experience presenting financial statements and other reports or data to leadership, including analysis, interpretation and recommendations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent business analysis, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. The ability to communicate technical information in an accessible manner to non-technical employees. A process improvement mindset. High level of professionalism, business acumen, and time management ability. Proficiency with accounting related software, Google applications, and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills, effective collaboration with leadership and peers. Critical thinking skills, sound judgment and decision-making ability. Ability to collect, compile, analyze and summarize relevant data. Ability to set priorities, take initiative and manage diverse responsibilities. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain discretion, as appropriate. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Physical and Mental Demands This is primarily an office-based position, which requires sitting or standing continuously. Light lifting (up to 25lbs) is infrequently required. Dexterity and use of hands is required continuously for typing, use of a phone, and use of a mouse and computer keyboard. Visual acuity to allow for reading a computer screen, printed information and reports, etc., is frequently necessary. Talking and hearing is required frequently. Concentrating and analyzing information is continuously required. Decision-making abilities are frequently exercised.
